  My review is my opinion and an expression of how feel that I was valued as a client. It took over two weeks to respond to my email requesting information about my case. I complained that I was paying for correspondence and not getting any results. The next morning, I was informed that they wet closing out my file. I don’t believe that my concerns were valued. Once I complained about paying approximately 10 thousand dollars and not getting any results, they closed my file.

  I called just to see if I could get services, made it clear from the start that we have court this month, and it’s now the 13th — just 10 days away — and I still haven’t received an answer. It took them an entire week just to not call me back, and when I followed up, I was told they were still waiting to hear from the attorneys. For a firm that advertises having “decades of experience” and being the best attorneys in the world (insert sarcasm here), the service has been anything but professional. The staff, especially Delia, was rude and dismissive, as if I was out of line for following up after a week of silence. This was a simple civil matter, yet their lack of communication, urgency, and basic courtesy was shocking. If this is how they handle new potential clients, I can only imagine how current ones are treated. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate. Definitely would not recommend.

  I had an unfortunate interaction with Shermeka Kelly, who, despite her role as an account manager, attempted to offer legal advice in a manner that came across as dismissive and unwelcoming. Her approach gave the impression that clients were an inconvenience rather than a priority. Due to this, I ultimately chose to seek assistance from a different firm, which provided the support I needed for my family law matter.

  0 stars I am filing this complaint against the law firm Stearns-Montgomery & Proctor for what I believe to be unethical conduct and unfair billing practices.- I retained the firm for a custody case and paid over $6,000 in fees.- Despite this, no court date or mediation was ever scheduled, and my case saw no meaningful progress.- When I decided to end representation, the firm charged me $1,445 just to withdraw, despite not achieving any substantive results.- After withdrawing, they added nearly $400 in additional charges, which I believe to be unjustified.- I also recently received another invoice for an additional $400 for the same July case closeout, which was simply for passing documents between different personnel within the law firm.- I formally withdrew from Stearns-Montgomery & Proctor in June 2025, and the judge signed the order permitting withdrawal in July 2025. Despite my withdrawal and the court’s order, I continued to receive invoices in July and August, including additional charges for administrative processing.- I felt the firm failed to communicate clearly, stalled my case, and charged excessive/unreasonable fees.While one of the attorneys, Gwendolyn Green, acted respectfully, the firm’s overall billing practices and lack of case advancement have caused me significant financial and emotional hardship.
