  Stay away from this law firm. I never completely felt good about this law firm however I was already in too deep trying to get custody of my grandson. He charged an absorbent amount of a retainer so when the case is over he can keep the retainer for work not done. I am in the process of filing a complaint with the Florida bar. Any ethical lawyer would return the difference in the retainer and not line their own pockets. This is why people don’t like attorneys and it’s not like it’s a couple hundred dollars it’s $2700. After the final court date, I contacted his paralegal and inquired about how much money I had left and that’s when I was told I had the $2700 Remaining unused retainer, and I’m being told it’s nonrefundable This is work. He did not complete so why are we paying attorneys for work? They didn’t do. This 100 percent accurate On refusing to return unused retainers. Be cautious and when giving this law firm any retainer because it will be gone even the unused portion of your money

  Mr. Gufford helped me tremendously, even though he did not represent me because of the type of work I needed done that wasn’t what he specialized in, but he recommended me a very good attorney for what I needed at no cost. He really cares about what he does, I’d hire him in a minute.

  I unfortunately haven’t had the greatest experience with The Gifford Law Firm. I’ve had several issues but especially communication is one of the big issue with his staff and with him. I’ve been trying to get an answer of the rest of my case but all they say it’s they are going to reach out to me and it’s been 3 months and I haven’t received no answer from them when I have paid all my fees and retainers fee with them. I call them and they tell me the same thing over and over again when it’s been already 3 months. They say they have a devotion to fight for cases like mine but I haven’t received that when on top of that they didn’t have to do much since the mother of my kids passed away so the custody automatically went to me but now for the other issue I have told them that I need to get fixed they haven’t done anything about it. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend them at all because they say one thing that they are going to fight but they don’t end up doing that but just taking your money from you.
