Don’t hire this firm if you want your final wishes honored. It breaks my heart that my Aunts final wishes were not honored once a greedy relative who was 3rd choice was named (preceded in death by 3 others) as the personal representative. Because she paid the retainer fee (from my aunts bank account) they refused to talk to anyone else in the family. The personal representative was allowed to sell personal items requested before the estate sale. She was allowed to selfishly gain life insurance policies, bank accounts intended as custodial accounts, and live on her property without paying rent for 10 months. In total, the personal representative made away with about $200,000 additional from the estate that was intended to be part of the state. They charged the estate $70,000 to administer her will, even though the retainer was paid for by the estate. Outrageous fees. The broad authority given to this person was allowed to abuse the estate through the terrible will that the office also wrote. My aunt had intended on changing law firms prior to her death but she went into hospice before she had the chance. Once the relative that was named as a last resort got a hold of the finances, little could be done to stop her because of this will. Living in Illinois made it nearly impossible to to do anything to stop any of this from happening. Speaking to anyone in the firm is impossible because the assistant to the office, Annette, is horrifying to speak to on the phone. She will hang up on you, mock you, speak to you condescendingly on the phone, and refuse to have the attorneys return phone calls. I honestly have no idea how she still has a job there unless she is related to one of the attorneys. Bottom line, every interaction with this law firm has been absolutely abysmal. It’s sad that they refuse to honor the final wishes of the their clients after their passing.

I don't even want to give them 1 star, but it looks like I have to give them at least 1. The receptionist sounds indignant and exhausted. After 3 phone calls she says to me..." well if they didn't call you back, they're just not interested ". Mind you, I haven't talked to a single paralegal or lawyer. Horrible customer service. Good luck should you choose to work with them
