- DRDavid RileyApr 12, 20181.0Do not use Charles White for any legal work!!! We were referred to Charles by a local surveyor for work on subdividing our property. During the entire meeting he looked at me with a confused look on his face (I have an advanced degree, so I'm pretty sure I was talking clearly). When Charles pulled out a ruler, pencil and paper to plot my property instead of using the county's website, I knew he was not the attorney we needed. Finally, we called the surveyor who eventually set him straight and explained what we needed and why. We left the office and after 4-5 weeks of unreturned phone calls to tell him I did not want to retain him, we finally get a formal letter emailed to us. The letter was full of typos and misspelled words and basically told us everything I told him in our meeting. The letter ended with the Charles' assumption that he will do the title work once the surveyor is done. Why he couldn't just send a simple email speaks to Mr White's ineffiency. He wasted over one month of my time; provided nothing of value and held up the subdivision process. To make matters worse, we just got a bill for $798 for "services rendered". Stay clear!
