  Ms. Petermann represented me for three years during a contested divorce case. Below are the facts that drove me to submit a one star review. 1. Ms. Petermann dropped me as a client right before the final hearing. Her reason was that I "lost confidence" in her ability to represent me. a. I was paid in full the entire duration she represented me and I received a refund from her office after she dropped me. b. This occurred after I spent over a month waiting for a yes or no answer to a specific paragraph in an order. Ms. Petermann couldn't find the time to provide the answer to me as I waited over a month for her to do so. 2. Billed hours for work that didn't appear to have occurred. a. I arrived to Ms. Petermann's office to attend a hearing via video conference. Ms. Petermann arrived five minutes prior to the hearing start time and frantically searched her records area for around fifteen minutes trying to locate my trial book. b. I was suprised Ms. Petermann could not immediately locate my trial book since she billed me for almost an entire day of "hearing prep" the day prior. My displeasure with Ms. Petermann is solely with how she handled interactions with me. Her legal assistant and paralegal were excellent to work with the entire time.

  The slowest lawyer on the planet. It took over 6 months to do a simple uncontested divorce. By the time I realized how slow they were they already had my retainer. I would highly recommend going somewhere else.

  If your divorce extends and you cannot keep paying, Tonya will drop you as a client leaving you to deal with a messy divorce alone.
