  We were so lucky to find Mellon, Hickey and Capuano law firm! We were in the middle of a difficult and drawn-out probate case with a family member, and Patricia took control from day one. She handled our complicated ancillary probate—especially involving a house with survivorship—quickly, professionally, and with great care. After calling so many law firms without answers, this firm got it done. We’re so grateful and highly recommend them!

  I called this firm to acquire information to take legal action against my slumlord. Instead an over zealous Para legal or secretary decided to dictate what I could and couldn't afford. I explained I was a family of 5. She assumed it meant myself with 4 children. I'm married with 3 children. She then assumed the money I didn't pay in rent was spent or just not available. After clarifying that I realized where the call was heading. She was incapable of explaining the difference between an eviction proceeding vs a civil despite her significant amount of disdain for my argument. The best part of the conversation is when she tried to spout off figures (Retainer $5k, Going to court $350 and some other miscellaneous fees) as a catalyst for me to refuse services. Despite my willingness to move forward she then In the end of her unsolicited opinions and judgements she informed me Attorney Hickey not only wasn't in the office but his return she didn't know. My question is this, my ethnicity is not used to pay bills yet its used to discriminate for a would be paid service. How is this possible? The nice lady even asked me why didn't we move if it was that bad. I excused the pandemic occurring outside coupled with the fact that I'm a nurse who works covid units. The heros everyone claim to love and support aren't able to get a good night's rest simply because our color don't mesh with the written norm. Duly noted. Please take note that contrary to popular belief not all black persons just procreate without sense and/or lack bill paying skills.
