I was in the middle of a nasty 2 year long divorce for my home. going in circles with the Judicial system. I hired Robyn Mann Law to clean up the huge mess that was made in the courts.
Within a few weeks Robyn had straightened out the issues, pointed out things that were missed, wrong, or lies.
We walked out of the court room with a huge victory! Without Robyn, I would have never been able to achieve the goals that I did, without Robyn on my team!
Need to win your divorce? Robyn Mann will take you there.
Last thing you want is Robyn Mann Law on the other team, and not yours!
Thanks Robyn.

Divorce is not easy and one of the most difficult decisions I had to make. Attorney Mann was professional, understanding and compassionate and listened. She truly cares about people and her clients and provides recommendations to help her clients cope and manage during the process.
Her years of experience and specialization in this area of law (family, children) are exceptional, since each divorce has unique circumstances. She is a wonderful Attorney who is open and honest.
Her ability to convey the process step by step kept me grounded and focused on my family and self care.
I highly recommend Attorney Mann if you are facing divorce.
A lot of variables go into the cost, including how congested it is, the assets involved, children, and how many times we have to go to court. Call for more information! During your phone consultation, we will evaluate the complexities of your matter and help you determine a general range of cost for our legal services.
What is the expectation when it comes to communication regarding my case?
Our clients will have a direct line to the attorney along with texting and email. If we are unable to attend to your text, call or email when received , we will respond accordingly within 24 hours.
Do I have to share my inheritance with my spouse?
In Connecticut, all assets that you own at the time you file for divorce are subject to be distributed between spouses. However, an inheritance can be preserved if other assets are available to meet the financial needs of the other party. We will work with you to address your specific needs when dividing assets. For example, if you want to keep the family home, there are ways to incorporate that into your settlement agreement with your spouse. In New York, inheritances are generally considered separate property of the spouse, and not subject to distribution in a divorce.
What fees are involved in the process?
Our attorney takes a retainer, which is used to pay legal fees, in addition to an hourly rate. In addition, there are court filing fees, and fees for service by a marshal in most family law matters.
How do I know what you're spending?
We provide monthly invoices that describe in detail what each fee is going towards. You will have access to your case file in our case management system, wherein you can review the time charges, fees and other expenses of your legal matter at your convenience.
What does the divorce process involve?
The process in Connecticut is filing for divorce with agreement from both parties, followed by a discovery to figure out what all the assets and debts are and a process agreement or a settlement conference with court appearances if necessary. Thereupon, there may be the need for additional support services, like experts to value assets, mediation to help you and your spouse reach an agreement, parent coordination, or other settlement services offered by the Courts. Robyn Mann Law will provide you with a clear idea of the benefits and risks of all services and actions so you can make an informed decision on how to proceed in your divorce matter.
If I have an emergency after business hours, what do I do?
Our attorney does respond to emergencies after work hours.
How long will it take to get divorced?
In Connecticut, the Family Court is responsible for scheduling trial dates in divorce cases one year after they are commenced. In New York, there is no definitive timeline for the final resolution of a divorce; however, there is a schedule of conferences designed to help parties identify and address their issues and prepare for either a settlement or trial.
What if my spouse and I agree on most issues in our divorce?
Our firm is committed to achieving the most efficient and effective results for you, and an uncontested divorce is a great way to accomplish this. Most divorces conclude with a settlement rather than a court order. Recognizing this fact can help spouses negotiate and resolve issues together, in the best interests of both themselves and their family. We will draft a comprehensive and enforceable settlement agreement and file the necessary paperwork with the court to obtain a divorce decree.
What if I am contemplating divorce, but not yet ready to pull the trigger?
Divorce is a serious decision and should be thoroughly researched. During a phone consultation, we can provide you with the information you need to prepare financially and emotionally. Once you're ready, just call us, and we can hit the ground running to help you proceed with less stress.
Am I entitled to receive spousal support from my spouse?
Currently, most courts consider a spouse's needs when determining whether to grant a request for spousal support, also known as spousal maintenance or alimony. If you have not earned a living to support yourself but are capable of doing so, you may receive rehabilitative maintenance for a period of time to help you gain skills or education to enter the workforce. If you are unable to earn a living due to health issues or other circumstances, you may be entitled to lifetime maintenance. Call us to learn more!
