  Do not hire Steven Ibarra for any case involving your child. I paid Steven Ibarra $6,000 in a case involving my daughter, and hiring him was one of the worst mistakes I made in this matter. This was a high-stakes case involving a third-party guardian, and I made clear from the beginning that delay would only strengthen the other side through status quo. I gave him evidence that took me around 200 hours to assemble. He did not use it. He did not file it. He did very little beyond an initial objection. He also asked me questions about basic family-law and procedural issues that I expected a retained attorney to already understand. I ended up doing work myself while losing time and ground in a case involving my child. He wouldn't provide a receipt of services performed I gave him 6 weeks three notices two final notices and no answer besides in the first couple of weeks and the first couple days he said he's going to give me a partial refund which he did not.. Based on my experience, I would strongly warn any parent against hiring him for a guardianship, custody, or other high-stakes family matter. My daughter is now in the hands of someone that is emotionally and psychologically abusing her in a critical stage in her development of her identity

  I hired this law office for a Los Angeles County child custody matter in March 2024 and paid a $6,000 retainer. After the initial intake, communication became extremely difficult. On 10/24/2025, I was told a refund would be issued and that an assistant would contact me. To date, I have not received a refund and I have never received an itemized billing/accounting for the $6,000. I try getting in contact with him but my calls were repeatedly routed through a call center with the same response: “leave a message and he will call you back.” I left multiple messages and did not receive return calls. After I posted a negative review on yelp, the attorney called me the same day I posted the review and offered to refund $3,000 if I deleted the review. I declined because I am requesting a full refund and a complete accounting. During that call, he said he would call me back and then the call ended, and I never received the call back. I recommend future clients get everything in writing, request an itemized accounting early, and keep a detailed communication log.

  I had a great experience with the Law Offices of Steven Ibarra.They made a stressful situation much easier to handle. Everything was explained clearly, and the process moved along efficiently without any unnecessary delays. The staff was extremely kind, understanding, and easy to work with. Pricing was fair, and I always felt supported throughout the case. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone looking for reliable and professional legal help.

  I've used these folks on 2 separate occasions for different needs and both time they have exceeded my expectations, very professional staff including the assistants and the attorneys but at the same time very caring , they have made me feel like I was their priority case and answered all my concerns, a great law firm with personal touch and care, highly recommend them!

  I called this law firm when I had been served by the father of my children to get full custody and they were helpful from beginning to end. The legal assistant Sonia was great and Annissa the paralegal was very kind and professional. She helped me with updates throughout the case. Steven Ibarra, my attorney, was awesome. He got me full custody and even got me max child support. I couldn't be happier thank you so much! Also, very reasonable pricing!!!
