  I have had the pleasure of working with both David Van Dyke and Mary Ann Bird for the last 1-1/2 years. I am 77 years old and have owned and operated two businesses with my wife for over 40 years. My wife and I have worked with a significant number of attorneys over the years including criminal, contract issues, real estate and tax lawyers. Our experience with David and Mary Ann has been the best. They accomplished everything we hoped for as attorneys and we had a successful outcome with a technical and complex case. Some of the characteristics we appreciated include communication; they responded to all of our phone calls, text messages and emails promptly with down to earth sensible answers. Knowledge; both Mary Ann and David have been full time attorneys for many years. This experience makes them experts in the areas of law that they specialize in. They have credibility with the courts; they have been successfully working with the judges and clerks in San Joaquin County for a long time. They understand the system and how it works. This was particularly beneficial to my case. Their fees are fair, they did not overcharge. They were friendly and interested in my case, they put me at ease. These characteristics built trust with me and trusting my attorney is important. It would be difficult to find a better attorney than David or Mary Ann in my opinion.

  From day one I had nothing but a positive experience. My situation was unique and that it took nearly 2 years. During this time not once did Mr. Vandyke ask for any type of payment. It was only when I decided to finally move forward with my bankruptcy, that I was asked for payment. In my case, Mr. VanDyke met with me on about 6 Times in 18 months. He answered every one of my questions during that time. Once I finally did file bankruptcy I was given copies of everything. Today was my hearing, and also the first day of the rest of my life. Without the help and legal aid of David and his staff this would not be possible. I finally feel free after several years of self-doubt. The actual hearing Took less than five minutes. I can easily say that if I did this on my own it would not have gone as smoothly. If there was a way to rate at 6 STARS,I certainly would add that extra star. Most lawyers and law firms get a bad rap, but there are good ones out there and Mr. VanDyke and his team are certainly that. Thank you once again I have my life back

  David is an awesome lawyer! He is very laid back which helps someone like myself keep from stressing out over every little thing. He explained everything very thoroughly and was very honest with his answers and didn't just tell me what I wanted to hear. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good BK lawyer!
