  My mom lost her ability to walk (due to a serious head injury) after being neglected at a memory care facility. I contacted Kirsten Fish (at NFK Law), and she partnered with Karman Guadagni at Stebner Gertler & Guadagni. From the very first moment I met with them, I felt reassured, supported, and stronger. My mother did not deserve to be in this condition, and I felt so hurt and frustrated by the memory care's lack of accountability and callousness. Karman and Kirsten were so intentional and kind, and they fought very hard to get the facility to own their multiple mistakes. My mom still cannot walk, but the care she receives now is spectacular. I owe Kirsten and Karman so much for taking her case and fighting on her behalf. She will likely live a longer, more comfortable life. I never thought I would ever pursue litigation, but after dealing with both NFK and SGG law firms, I know I did the right thing with the most amazing team.

  I would highly recommend this law firm to anybody that needs help in elder abuse cases. They came through like heros for my father.. defended him, and fought for him when all other attorneys wouldn’t touch his case. They’re very professional and attentive and they keep in communication when dealing with your case . They’re very personable , caring and hard working to make sure you get the outcome that is fair and right ! They truly became like family !   Stebner Gertler & Guadagni just won a case on behalf of our mother who passed away after receiving negligent care from a rehabilitation facility. They were able to get us an award which was a good deal more than what we expected. Throughout the process these attorneys and their staff were extremely responsive, professional, kind and quite likable! They aren’t just great attorneys, they’re also great people. God forbid I ever need such services again but, if I did, I would use them again without hesitation. They deserve the best ratings, 5 stars! I highly recommend them!

  My brothers and I were so fortunate to be referred to Stebner Gertler & Guadagni, a law firm that specializes in Elder Abuse litigation. Our mom passed away due to negligence committed by a well regarded memory care facility in the Bay Area. We worked with Karman Guadagni, the managing partner at SG&G. Karman was very professional, capable, honest and compassionate. She managed our case with care and attention and she kept us informed as to the progress of our case and the firm's investigation. We also want to thank Kathryn Stebner, an experienced, strategic negotiator, and Deena Zacharin, a warm and compassionate fact finder who rounded out our excellent team at SG&G. There is no winner in a situation such as this, but the most important aspect to our settlement was that Karman took the initiative to request that the owner of the facility write a letter to my family detailing the changes that were made to policies and procedures based on my mom's care and ultimate death. Lastly, for those of you that might be intimidated to call a law firm, I would encourage you to make that call to SG&G.
