  I'm a realtor and needed a probate attorney for clients. There were ten heirs of two side-by-side properties listed in the testator's will. The heirs wanted to sale but needed to clear probate court. I found an ad for James as I was actually researching something else on-line. Thought that it was Karma, so I called him. He was great. Very patient and waited to be paid at the close of both escrows that took an extraordinary six months to be exact. This was not due to probate court that cleared months earlier but the buyer's lender requirements. James would call me periodically to check on the closing date and eventually received payment, lol. He understood the process and agreed to settle his fees at the close of these escrows. Great experience. I will work with him again.

  Beware This attorney is a real crook. He approached me to take over my probate. He made up lies that the will was forged, that the deceased was not my friend for over 30 years who died suddenly. He represented that I was not her executor and went as far as texted all my employees and clients that I am not legitimate . He then tried to extort me to pay him off so he would back off. He even went as far as sent his 95 page complaint to my children and personal friends and clients to try to have them to tell me to turn over my friends estate. He created an exparte to the p;robate court without notifying me or my attorney and went in front of the court with a phoney complaint with a phantom heir where he told the court that this heir put him in charge of this estate. Apparently I am not the only one that he did this to. The other review from Laurie he did the same. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to sustain her estate since she did not have counsel and he ran off with it. She lost her mom's home to him. Fortunately, with the help of good counsel, Mr Leesthma, the crook, has not been able to prove to the court any of his false allegations. Therefore, anyone being approached by this man, be weary he will offer you an advance on your inheritance and then run off with it all. Read the lawyer ratings on this crook Mr. James Leestma.

  Horrible nightmare...not honest..practices very questionable. I have 2 people who have contacted me regarding his practices..already reported to the bar and will be investigated shortly..we don't trust him. And neither does the people who have jumped on board with us..no matter what good reviews he gets..I don't believe they are real.
