  I had a very disappointing experience with this public defender. In my opinion, she did not advocate independently or aggressively on my behalf. She refused to pursue video evidence from the state that I believe would have shown misconduct, and instead appeared more focused on minimizing the issue than challenging it. During my case, the prosecutor made statements to the judge that resulted in a $2,500 bond and my being held for three days. Rather than addressing those statements as inaccurate or challenging them on the record, my attorney framed it as "misinformation" and focused only on getting the bond returned. At no point did I feel my rights or interests were being fully defended. I expected representation based on the law and facts, not deference to the prosecution. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend others carefully consider their options and seek independent legal counsel if possible. I was also repeatedly encouraged to consider plea offers or proceed to trial without being provided full discovery. Being pushed to make life-altering legal decisions without access to the evidence against me felt improper and left me unable to make an informed choice about my own defense. After I began asserting my rights and demonstrating an understanding of the law, my public defender withdrew from the case and attempted to shift blame onto me, implying that I was the problem rather than addressing the ongoing lack of discovery and advocacy. That response further confirmed my concerns about independent representation. I stand by my review and my experience. All statements are based on documented communications and events in my case. I do not wish to litigate facts in a public forum and wish counsel well.

  ****ANYONE CONSIDERING THIS FIRM SHOULD CAREFULLY REVIEW PUBLIC RECORDS, ONLINE REVIEWS, AND THE ARIZONA STATE BAR WEBSITE BEFORE RETAINING HER. I PERSONALLY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS FIRM!*** charity was hired and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. Communication was inconsistent, work quality unclear, and billing or case progress often hard to verify. The attorney frequently delegated tasks to an assistant who appeared to have little to no formal paralegal training. From observation, charity seemed more familiar with lower-level offenses, such as traffic or minor criminal matters, rather than more complex criminal defense. When concerns were raised about her follow-through and responsiveness, she became difficult to reach and eventually withdrew from the case without resolving key issues. AFTERWARDS, IT WAS DISCOVERED THERE HAVE BEEN PRIOR DISCIPLINARY OR BAR-RELATED CONCERNS CONNECTED TO THIS FIRM, WHICH ALIGNED WITH THE EXPERIENCE OF DISORGANIZATION AND POOR CLIENT HANDLING. THE FIRM ALSO APPEARS TO BE RUN SOLELY BY CHARITY WITH ONE ASSISTANT.

  Charity Clark was amazing. I had a lot of anxiety, fear and a ton of questions before finding her and choosing her to represent us. We have used her twice now and in both case she was very informative and straightforward. I appreciated her ability to always keep in contact whenever questions would pop up or I didn’t understand something about the legal process. In both cases Charity was able to shut down any charges my son may have faced and made sure it was resolved without any consequences to my son. She was professional yet human and fierce when she needed to be. I would definitely recommend her to everyone needing a criminal attorney.
