Organized on November 30th, 1876 at a time when insurance companies were located in larger cities, insurance was expensive & the service to rural areas was very slow. The need existed for a local company that could take care of its members who were also their neighbors.
Pella Mutual is a company owned by its policyholders & guided by a board of nine Directors, who are also policyholders. There are no stockholders, no pressure to maintain the value of the stock or dividend payments to the investors. Premiums are used for the payment of losses & operational expenses.
Our main goals are providing quality and affordable insurance, giving our policyholders the best service possible & being there when it matters most - when disaster strikes.
