Run away from this company. We purchased a brand new home in 2024 that was completed in 2023. The builder needed to tweak a few joists in the roof. Instead of working with us they were ready to CANCEL us. We worked with the builder and they made the adjustments and we assumed that the matter was settled. Fast forward to January of 2025 and now Texas Farmbureau has arbitrarily decided to not renew our policy. The only reason given is "Underwriting reasons." I tried getting in touch with my so-called "agent" and it appears to me that she is dodging me now. We paid the entire year of insurance premiums upfront when we closed on the house. I would hate to have to file a claim and be denied. Again don't fool with this company. They treat you very poorly and feels very disrespectful.

I used to be with them years ago and they were great. Recently I had an agent to come out and look at a building, he gave me a quote and said I had to replace one side of the roof before he could cover it.
Had roof replaced with out of pocket money then He came back with another list of things like wash dirt off building, telephone line seem to low, hand rail look like it’s about to fall over which it is not, it’s cemented in the ground etc. There was maybe two things I understand they wanted done, but my problem is he should told me all this up front not wait until I replace the roof.
I had two other companies that was going to cover us without replacing the roof, that wasn’t leaking. In addition he kept stating he had to have our current policy to write his policy. Finally, I responded to his email with my concern that the other issues wasn’t brought the first time but now I replaced the roof and did have the policy in hand we have all these other issues and got no reply. I was also asking for an auto quote that I never got until I contacted another office and agent asking them to take over for me but I guess they called him and then he started calling and sent auto quote.
I found another insurance company and their auto quote was more than I pay now.
