  I have been a customer for the past two years. I was quoted last week for my renewal at double what I had paid in the past. When reaching out to ask for clarification why, I was told it’s due to inflation and material costs. It did not sit well with me so I did some of my own research and found a better rate elsewhere. A few days later, my agent called me (Patrice Josephs) to let me know my quote only went up $200 from last year. Which was confusing because she had already tried to get me to bind a new contract last week for double what I paid from year before. What I realized was that Tropical Storm Arthur was set to hit later in the day from when I was presented with my renewal options last week and she tried to get clients to blindly renew at a higher rate due to the incoming storm but as soon as it passed, she was able to get a better rate. That’s quite literally fraudulent and now she lost a client and I’m hoping many more.
