State Farm sold me a home + auto bundle and explained that once I obtained my Texas driver's license, my premium would likely decrease.
However, after providing my Texas DL and adding my wife to the policy (following their recommendation), my monthly premium increased by approximately 45%.
I do not believe the office acted in bad faith, but I do believe the underwriting process and possible premium adjustments were not clearly explained before the policy was finalized.
For customers who are new to Texas or new to the U.S. insurance system, I strongly recommend getting multiple quotes and asking very detailed questions about how underwriting re-rates can affect the final premium after the policy starts.
The home insurance pricing was competitive, but the communication and expectation-setting around the auto policy were very disappointing.

Kelsie Paul was phenomenal!! The Customer service from her from the very beginning was lovely. I felt no pressure I felt no rush and I felt safe. Changing insurance companies scared me a bit not going to lie but they made it feel like such a great stress free experience. Truthfully, answered all of my questions, educated me on car and home insurance and made sure I was comfortable with all the choices I made. Been a few choices in life I've made with 100% certainty and switching to StateFarm is one of them for sure!! Thank you guys for everything.
