  "I've lived __ years and I've never had a transgender person within 10 feet of me." "I have a customer here who's name is changing to Sarah because he went transgender..." "I have 2 kids, ___ and ___, and they're both just boy or girl." The above are comments made by the agent, Roxy, who I met with to try to have my name updated on my insurance policy after having it legally changed. She also declined to refer to me with female pronouns when I requested it. She hesitated the first few times she used the wrong ones after I asked, so I know she didn't forget; she thought about it and decided to continue referring to me as a man. When I asked, calmly and politely, to speak to a different agent, she went on an angry tirade about how "unfair" it was that I "wasted her time". She made sure to call me "he" one last time, to her coworker, as I was leaving the building. Additionally, I had to call my dad at one point during the meeting to get some information, and she wanted me to ask him who he was insured with. When I asked why, she hesitated before saying it was "probably" so she could try to sell him insurance too. This was after asking me to put a down payment on a more expensive plan than my current one, while stating it was cheaper. No apologies were offered for any of this.
