- JHJocelyn HopkinsJul 30, 20261.0STAY AWAY FROM STATE FARM IF YOU WANT HELP WHEN YOU GET IN AN ACCIDENT! Didn't realize how soulless they were until I was in an accident & was left vulnerable. Worst insurance experience of my life! Ted Ferry was listed as my agent from 10/2023-06/2026, but I mostly worked with a guy named Rob in his office. My issues are mostly with the whole company, not these individuals. That said, not only was I annoyed about the prices (just liability on my 2017 civic with a perfect driving record was around $140/month), but when I was in an accident that was the other parties' fault (but they blamed it on me of course), NO ONE stood up for me. The whole reason I had insurance was to help if I got in an accident, & they couldn't care less since all I could afford at the time was liability insurance. I was found not guilty in court, but State Farm refused to do their due diligence & paid the 16 year old, inexperienced driver, money for the accident I'm certain he caused. State Farm's claims department is the most incompetent group I've had the displeasure of working with, and that's saying a lot. Unless you have cameras on all parts of your vehicle, don't count on State Farm to make things right when you're in an accident. I tell everyone I know & everyone I meet who's looking for insurance to stay away! Those guys need to fix their claims process & have Gabriella Angulo (the person who was assigned as my claims specialist) get a little more training into how to ACTUALLY investigate a claim, rather than default to a story that was given to them by someone who wasn't at the scene of the accident (the kids' dad). DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY on getting State Farm insurance, because if you have a claim that isn't open & shut (like one recorded on traffic cameras or with several witnesses), you will likely get screwed by the other party with better insurance.
