- JSJoseph SmythMay 13, 20261.0Allstate customer service has been going downhill since Covid. 3 times on a Friday over the last 6 years I’ve called to insure a new vehicle purchase, motorcycle, jet ski etc.. Gave all vehicle info, offered to pay in full via CC . Was told I’m all set, they’ll email my cards, no need to pay as I will be billed. The weekend comes and goes, no cards via email. I call Monday, and they have NO records of my vehicle being insured? The office closed, agents went remote. Contacting someone became more and more difficult. Now as of 2026 when you call the 518 number. It’s transferred overseas to a call center, you can barely understand the person. It’s so so so bad I’m switching to StateFarm, where they have BUILDINGs and a PEOPLE working in the building
