My mother had a very bad experience with this Allstate agent, specifically with an agent named Liz. She contacted my mom by phone and, being Cuban like us, gained her trust and strongly convinced her to switch her insurance from State Farm to Allstate by making it sound like a great deal.
The next day, after thinking it through, my mother decided to cancel the policy. Despite canceling almost immediately, Allstate did not refund the initial payment. My mother had to go to her bank to dispute the charge because she was getting nowhere with Allstate.
To make things worse, two months later, my mother received a notice demanding $382, claiming she owed money due to the cancellation, and the account was sent to collections.
This whole situation feels misleading and unethical. Be very careful with phone promises and who you deal with. What was sold as a “good deal” turned into stress, wasted time, and a collection notice.

Mi madre tuvo una muy mala experiencia con este agente de Allstate, específicamente con una agente llamada Liz. Ella contactó a mi mamá por teléfono y, siendo cubana como nosotros, se ganó su confianza y la convenció de manera insistente para cambiar su seguro de State Farm a Allstate, haciéndolo parecer una gran oferta.
