- SPS PAug 11, 20211.0Everything was going well until the pandemic hit. Then all of a sudden my rate which had stayed the same for a couple years went up by about 10 dollars. When I called customer service I was told that sometimes certain cars will make the insurance go up because of how many accidents they are in. Not because my vehicles were involved in accidents but because of the world in general. Turned out with a little more digging someone from Allstate had changed the coverage on one of my vehicles during the renewal period. Not changes I made. Ohh and if you are in an accident expect not to hear anything from your claim contacts even when you leave voice mails, messages through the app, and even contact the manager of the claim contact. Then waiting on hold you might get through after several minutes of waiting just to hear a click and see your phone say call ended. Idk what’s going on with Allstate lately, but the only reason I have to stay is because I have open claims at the moment and my homeowners ins. is cheap through them. Might be time to start shopping around.
