- CCChad CaspersonMay 13, 20261.0If there was a no star, I would give that. I had a very disappointing experience with State Farm. I spent a lot of time going back and forth providing information for a quote, asking questions, and making sure everything was in order before starting my policy. Based on their guidance, I even cancelled my previous insurance policy. Then, two months into being insured, they suddenly requested additional photos and more information. After I provided everything they asked for, they told me they could no longer insure my property because I have a stove in my shop. Their solution was to ask if I could remove the stove in order to keep coverage. This should have been addressed during the underwriting process before they told me to cancel my previous policy. Instead, I was left scrambling to shop for new insurance because they failed to do their due diligence up front. After this experience, I would never use State Farm again — not even for an auto quote.
