  Daniel Desoto is the best professional insurance agent I have had the pleasure of working with in all my long years of coverage. Last week I needed immediate homeowners coverage and called four carriers in Hilo for a quote. Mr. Desoto was the only carrier who responded right back with a great quote, while two other ins. companies eventually called over the following days and the fourth carrier never responded at all. Courteous, professional, friendly , and a good policy at a great price going with Hawai'i Island Insurance Services and Mr. Desoto. Thank you, Daniel. Jon in Hilo.

  Daniel Desoto is rude and unprofessional. I called his agency to have him mail my brother the original insurance card so he could take my auto that I own in hilo to get a safety check done because I live in Oregon. When going over with him what I was requesting he basically had no idea what I was talking about. I gave him the address of my brother and asked him to verify to be sure he sends the right policy to the insurance card. He was still clueless to my policies that I have with his agency. So then he hung up on me. When tried calling back during business hours he refused to answer my call. Horrible service and very unprofessional. 3 days ago Daniel De Soto responded to my review. He replied by saying that he enjoyed speaking to my husband because he treated him with respect and appreciation to a service worker......... Mr De Soto, thank you for your kind response. So with that said, maybe you should have treated me in the same manner my husband treated you. You were unprofessional in your service work, you hung up on me, and immediately after you did that I tried calling you back at least 5 times and you choose to not answer and NEVER returned my phone call to help me resolve the issue. That is poor service work , unprofessional and NO 👎aloha.
