We were a client of GFB for nearly 6 years. They were good until we actually needed to file a claim for a tree falling on our house last May. It was a nightmare going through all of the processes of remediation with them, and they nickled-and-dimed us and we never felt like they had our back the entire process. The adjuster we were assigned to work with, Clint Coppel, wouldn't even pay for the entire tree removal because it was an "unreasonable" cost, citing his own personal experience having trees removed from his property. None of which were sitting on top of his roof, might I add. And that we should've shopped around for a better quote when a tree was literally on our roof and both of our cars.
After doing more research and speaking with the company he got a quote from to say ours was unreasonable, we learned the lowball quote wasn't even for a customer emergency tree removal directly from that company's owner, and GFB still wouldn't adjust the claim.
You expect an insurance company to protect you when you go through something like that, and we never felt protected by Georgia Farm Bureau.
Oh also, they kept charging us for car insurance for several months after they paid us out for total losses on the cars that the tree literally crushed because "we didn't ask them to stop the car insurance policy" so yea. Just a joke of an outfit I will recommend everyone I know to avoid.
