  We worked with Brightway Insurance and agent Eric Sewell to secure homeowner’s insurance for our recent home purchase, and the experience has been extremely frustrating and concerning. What should have been a straightforward process turned into multiple policy cancellations, payment issues, and administrative errors, none of which were our fault. We received repeated cancellation notices for “nonpayment,” even though funds were provided at closing and issued more than once by the title agency. First, payment was sent to the wrong address provided by Mr. Sewell. That policy actually was cancelled for non-payment, so a new policy had to be created. The updated policy number was never communicated to the title agency, resulting in another failed payment to the insurer when the check had the first policy number listed. After resolving payment for the second policy directly ourselves, we then received a cancellation notice for an entirely different reason—failure to meet underwriting requirements—because Mr. Sewell had failed to properly upload the policy to the insurer. At no point were any of the myriad issues we experienced proactively identified or communicated to us. We had to repeatedly follow up, uncover problems ourselves, and push for resolution. This experience has been disorganized, stressful, and unacceptable for something as critical as homeowner’s insurance (especially in Florida!) We would strongly caution others to ensure close oversight if working with this agency and Mr. Sewell.

  Eric was recommended to me, and I could not be more thankful for him. He answered right away, was fast, pleasant and personable. Very easy and fun to talk to! He helped me cut my insurance quote literally in half. And I got more than I asked for originally. I’m just a regular person that was in a bind and he helped me so much, I highly recommend.
