I have to take the time to write how wonderful Joe Haars is as an agent for Direct Auto! The time he takes, with you, individualized time displays EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I literally will walk out if he is not working!

I was with Direct Auto Insurance off and on For 30 years, depending on if I was living in Florida or not, which most of the time I was. I have never gotten into a wreck until 2019. They refused to pay, they made a up a technicality to void my contract. I never knew they didn't be pay it until I received a collection notice threatening to put a lean against my driver's license if I didn't pay around $9,000 immediately. All the while Direct Auto Insurance was still taking my monthly payments for my current Insurance Policy. They won't even give me a copy of the policy that they are refusing to pay so I can get this straightened out,they keep telling me they sent it, I've been told they emailed it to me, which they have not. I was so stunned, now I'm stuck making payments on a wreck that should have been covered. I'm on disability and they know that I can't hire an attorney so they do whatever they want without consequence!

The staff there is really nice and informative. The information can be managed very easily only and through phone with no hidden numbers or statements.
The reason for only 3 stars (which I would round up to 3.5 if I could) would be for the lack of a mobile app. The handle of everything would be significantly improved with an app, but that would be the only reason as to why it wouldn't get my 4 or 5 star rating. Having an app is huge.
