    DO NOT USE THIS AGENCY. I never leave bad reviews and feel the need to do so at this time. If I could leave zero stars I would. I do not know how this insurance agency has as good of reviews as they do. I cancelled my Travelers policy that Vela serviced about three months ago and I am still waiting on my refund check. I can never get a straight answer from anyone in the Vela office. I am told over and over again that "they spoke to my brother and are going to figure things out with Travelers." Vela has not spoken to my brother. I was told I would get an update last Friday 06/19/2026 after calling the day before to get an update. Never got an update. This happens week after week. The whole while I am paying hundreds of dollars more per month on my mortgage because of an escrow shortage that happened due to increased premiums that I was never properly informed of. Until this issue is resolved this review will stay posted. Insane lack of customer service.

    Had a terrible experience with them when I got into my first accident. I got no support and very little empathy. Been a customer for 7 years and the service was not great. I ended up getting a cheaper rate and more coverage going directly thru my insurance company. 🤷 insurance brokers man smh
