  I worked with Cristina Berechet for my Medicare enrollment, and she did a very good job guiding me through the process. She was clear and made sure everything was set up correctly for my start date. Additionally, she helped me select a good dental/vision plan. She handled everything very well and it has been a smooth transition. She has also been proactive with follow-up about future Medicare reviews. Working with Cristina has been positive overall.

  An Exceptional Medicare Insurance Agent — Rick Porras Finding the right Medicare coverage can be overwhelming under the best of circumstances. For me, it became a particularly complicated and stressful journey—and I am incredibly grateful that it ultimately led me to Mr. Rick Porras. My journey to Medicare was anything but straightforward. After contracting Long COVID, I experienced significant and lasting medical complications that affected virtually every aspect of my life. I was fortunate simply to survive, but I was left dealing with brain fog, memory issues, scarred lungs, asthma, and supraventricular tachycardia. I ultimately lost my ability to work and spent three years pursuing a disability claim. After going through a trial, I finally received a favorable judgment and began receiving monthly disability payments. Because I was still 65 and had no income from employment, I qualified for Medi-Cal through the State of California. Then, after turning 66⅔ and beginning to receive my Social Security benefits, I was dropped from Medi-Cal and found myself relying primarily on Medicare. At the same time, the insurance landscape in California was changing dramatically, with insurers pulling out of the state and leaving many people scrambling to figure out what their options were. Suddenly, I was facing significant medical and prescription expenses and had no idea how to navigate the Medicare system, understand the laws and rules, or determine whether there was a supplemental plan that could help protect me financially.
