- AGAgustin GomezDec 19, 20251.0I called in to have my policies canceled and I was informed that I could not cancel using the effective date of my policy through another company. This is a gross malpractice on the agencies part as it is illegal to double insure property and it will cost the consumer for the days they are double insured. The “manager” of this agency, Jonathan M, tried to tell me that I was being rude and weird for correcting his agent. These “agents” are not doing what is best for us the consumers. When I was finally given the option to use the correct date of cancellation I was told that it would be an arduous process and that I needed to provide my declarations pages for the new policies (that is true); but, the process isn’t lengthy. It’s just a matter of providing documentation. This agency was a huge disappointment to me as I was an Allstate agent for a number of years for corporate.
