  I’m writing this review to help other homeowners avoid deceptive practices by Jon Patel with Allstate Insurance Agency. I received a mailer promising a homeowner’s insurance rate of $558.12 for a year, which seemed too good to be true. However, when I contacted Mr. Patel, the actual quote was over $2,700 for the year—approximately four times the advertised rate. Mr. Patel explained that the mailers were just general advertisements and not specific to individual properties, despite include the specifics of our property in their advertised mailer. This practice is misleading and essentially a bait-and-switch tactic, which I find concerning. I strongly recommend caution and encourage reporting such misleading ads to the appropriate State authorities, and taking your business other places that are more transparent and forthcoming. Good businesses don’t need to do bait in switch to get business.

  Jon Patel is very professional and thoughtful of his clients. Great values. We had to leave, but If we do business with Allstate again in the future, only with Jon Patel. Highly recommend.

  Mr. Patel literally saved me $1K!! My homeowners policy was up for renewal and I looked at several insurance companies for the best pricing especially in these hard economic times and my last option came in the form of a simple letter from Mr. Jon Patel. My previous insurance provider was going to raise my rates an extra 40% from the previous year. Their excuse was, "it just happens that way". Mr. Patel with Allstate lowered my rate from the previous year with the same coverage and a little bit extra. He is even covering my car for almost half of what I was paying with my car insurance provider. I just called my previous homeowners insurance company and told them that I didn't need them anymore. They asked how come I was switching companies and it felt good telling them I found better coverage for less and that "it just happens that way". Once again, Thank You Mr. Jon Patel.
