  Highly unethical behavior from Pat and her team. Stay far away. Moved to the area in late 2024 and after getting several quotes, I chose Pat’s Allstate group for home and auto. A couple months after moving in my homeowner’s insurance rates were raised by about 50%, but as the first year’s home insurance was paid at closing I did not realize that the policy had gotten so much more expensive. Once I realized in the spring of 2025 that the premium on the policy was so much more than I was quoted I called and had a very good conversation directly with Pat. She apologized that the policy had increased by so much and also apologized that I was not given the courtesy of a phone call from my insurance agent to explain why my policy had changed. At the conclusion of the call Pat promised me that my policy premium would be adjusted so that I would not have to pay the higher rate for the first year, and that I would owe nothing more than the amount that was originally quoted. Having heard that directly from Pat and being a trusting albeit naive person, I did not deem it necessary to get anything in writing from her… big mistake. After the policy auto-renewed at the outrageously high rate, I canceled the policy and moved over to StateFarm (who had much better rates for both my home and auto policies - even better than the rates I was originally quoted by AllState in 2024). Of course after canceling the policy I received a bill for the entire difference in the amount paid at closing for the first year and the new, higher rate for the previous year. I made a dozen phone calls to try to discuss this issue with Pat, and I was never able to reach her. All my messages were ignored - not a single returned phone call. I still have not talked to Pat since our conversation where the promises were made. In hindsight I should have switched to a different agency at the first sign of trouble.

  Was hit-and-run by another Allstate driver. The communication is abhorrent. The rep in charge of our claim has not returned my call for days. The person in case he is out has also not returned my calls. I have called you, the person we give a commission to, only to not have my phone call returned by anyone in your office either. Beyond frustrating. I need a rental to make my flight out of SAT next week. Do better.

  The Pat Farias Agency of Portland Texas has shown me and my family nothing but concern in solving any problems that we have had. The most recent the recovery from Hurricane Harvey; where they used their own personal cellphones to answer questions and to get assistance to clients. Even though their office sustained damage they put the clients under their care first. They certainly put the clients in good hands.
