  TLDR; This agency stole $200 from us and tried to gaslight us saying we owe them more money. I really didn't want to have to leave this review. I have been an auto insurance customer here for over 5 years. Earlier this year my husband and I purchased home insurance here, but Allstate cancelled the policy after a few weeks because they claim we need a roof replacement. They returned most of the money except for two weeks' of coverage, amounting to a little over $200. Whatever. Through this process they acted like we did something wrong, claiming we did not disclose the granular loss and missing shingles on the roof, but we were never asked about this. We were honest throughout the process that did not know how old our roof was. We never signed a policy, but I let it go, because it just wasn't worth arguing. Then we received an auto insurance bill of $132 for cancelling the home insurance. We didn't cancel; they did. We sent emails and called, were told they would call us back and never did. Then they said they canceled our auto policy. As of now they still haven't cancelled our auto policy. They have repeatedly gaslit us, claiming they tried to reach out, as if I am hard to get in touch with, when they don't answer emails, and there is no direct line to call. The only way to get them on the phone is to go through the outsourced customer service line and wait on hold for 20+ minutes. They repeatedly mansplained how insurance works to me and avoided answering my direct yes or no questions: are you going to refund my full home insurance or honor the discount I received for it? They are claiming there is nothing they can do, which I don't believe for a second. The relationship has eroded, due to their dishonesty and lack of professionalism, often calling me the wrong name (Ms. Williams) and pretending to be unfamiliar with the situation making me repeat myself. The fact is they did not do their jobs thoroughly resulting in me getting ripped off, and instead of treating me like a customer, and admitting their mistakes, they have unfortunately chosen to double down. I strongly suspect the incompetence is a result of nepotism at the expense of credentials.
