We incorrectly assumed that staying with the same agency for car and auto would make for a smoother transition, but it has been quite the opposite. I've had cold calls and emails asking for "clarification" on who lives in the home after providing the death certificate, so I've had to "report" his death 3 separate times. I've been charged for policies after cancelling them, and they've refused to refund to me saying it can only go to him. What? It's gotten to the point where I've had to file disputes with my bank... Horrendous customer service. If your loved ones pass, just cancel the policy and go somewhere else. This estate team makes everything more painful.
