- CBCordelia BeckerOct 27, 20242.0I discovered that I was paying over 2000.00 for 6 months of auto insurance after using Allstate for over 15 years with very few claims. (please note for this agency the "owner" of the agency has changed 5 times over those years. I called to ask why it was so much and asked if it could be lowered. I was told someone would call me within the week. No one called. So I got Auto insurance from Progressive. My insurance payment was more than half. The specific agents who take over these "franchises" don't look out for the clients. This has been my experience anyway.
