Their insured driver backed out of a parking space directly into my vehicle while I was traveling through the lane. Despite clear physical damage consistent with this, a police report supporting my position, and my immediate attempt to avoid the accident by braking and using my horn, State Farm still assigned me 50% liability. Even more concerning, the explanation for this decision changed multiple times throughout the process, none of which aligned with the actual facts of the accident. It became clear that they were not interested in objectively evaluating the facts and instead defaulted to protecting their insured, leaving me to cover costs for an accident I did not cause. Based on this experience, I would strongly caution anyone to carefully consider how claims are handled before choosing State Farm.
