For the past 3 decades, I am like a clock when it comes to paying my bills; nothing late! This past Friday the mail ran late, but I get a letter from my homeowners insurance that my mortgage payment hasn’t been made and will lapse on February 2nd. The issue, we refinanced the mortgage in December and someone didn’t make sure the proper paperwork made it to the new mortgage company. So, I sweated bullets all weekend long.
I get up at 6am this morning and called Allstate in a tissy, and Brent Giles answered the phone. I explained my predicament to which he says, we have sent them several letters because they are supposed to pay us, but don’t even worry about, Mr. Lofton, this isn’t your fault. Right away, I am relieved because I perfect record is on the line. Brent says, call them and let me talk to them.
I called the new mortgage company and I get an Asian female that I cannot understand at all. Brent took over from there giving the policy number, the effective dates, the Dwelling, Replacement Cost, Wind and Hail, Deductible, and completely blowing my mind. The agent for the mortgage company updated everything, and the payment will be sent to Allstate within 24-48 hours.
After the call I asked Brent, how did you do that with such ease? He says, I have been doing this for 25 years, Mr. Lofton. TALK ABOUT BEING IN GOOD HAND!!! Thank you, Brent. I am truly in your debt.
