  After receiving my renewal package with hundreds of dollars in increases after no claims, I decided to go with another insurer. I sent the letter of cancellation to Mr Torpey's office. I received a letter of cancellation, then 2 months later I received the bill for almost $200 for a new contract I never signed. I contacted his office, spoke with the representative, and was told they would back date the cancellation to reflect no renewal and I would owe nothing. Fast forward 2 more months I received a notice from a collection agency that I owed them $200. I attempted to reach out to Mr torpy's office three separate times, I left three separate voicemails, and never heard back from his office. And then reached out to Allstate corporate, and the collection agency, providing all the documentation and the charges were removed. This lack of professionalism is an excusable and a highly recommend shopping this overpriced agent.

  I found John Shurer to be extremely proactively helpful. As one who had just moved to Glenside from Staten Island,NY, he knew all about wht I would need to do to insure my home and automobile here as well as all the steps it would take to get a PA driver's license and registration. The latter was a very cumbersome process and he stuck with me throughout it. I am so grateful that I reached him first when I first called the Allstate office on Jenkintown Rd in Glenside.
