  Horrible. They didn’t cancel my insurance for almost 8 months after I sold my home. The insurance company requires they do it. You can’t do it on your own when working with a broker. They could never get it right. I eventually got desperate and convinced travelers to help me cancel it. However I’m out almost 8 months of payments that I had to make since they never sent in the paperwork. Dont use them. Just work directly with an insurance company.

  This Company was unreliable and disappeared as soon as I needed help. We just bought a house and did our home and auto through Safeguard. When I called for a quote I specifically mentioned we had Asbestos siding, and I was concerned about coverage for it. The agent assured me it wouldn’t be an issue. 2 weeks after we move in, underwriting comes back and cancels our policy because of Asbestos siding. I started calling, emailing and leaving messages for the agent.. days, and weeks went by with little to no response. I went out on my own a found a new policy because they started dodging my calls and I had 2 weeks to get a new policy in place. After leaving numerous voicemails, emails, calls to the office and to my agent, they still provided no assistance. I filled out my own cancellation doc’s to get them to the insurance provider so I could get my refund, Safeguard finally forwarded it, or so I thought. I waited two more weeks and called insurance provider for an update on the refund check, and they never received an address or cancellation to process it. Unreliable, unprofessional, and general SCUM business practice. THIS COMPANY WILL TAKE YOUR PREMIUM AND NEVER RESPOND AGAIN.
