  My auto insurance was cancelled with out notification. For nearly 30 days I was driving around uninsured, apparently due to a missed payment. However, I tried to make my December payment online and was unable, so I called the Allstate corp number and was GUARANTEED no payment was due, my insurance was valid and up-to-date, and my next payment would be due January 23rd. When I went online to make my payment on January 23rd, I received a message that said "Thank you for making a payment on your cancelled plan." I called Richard's office and was told that my insurance was cancelled due to non-payment on December 23rd. Naturally I was VERY upset and cancelled my renters insurance policy immediately. The lady I spoke to on the phone said that the Allstate Corp office "doesn't really know what's going on and this happens sometimes". Its absolutely unacceptable and I would like a response and would like to know how you're going to fix this for other customers! If I had been in a car accident with my young son in the vehicle, or been pulled over during this time it would have CHANGED MY LIFE! This needs to be rectified ASAP! I was not notified of any cancellation through mail, email or a phone call. A mail notice was sent to a previous address because the office did not update my correct address when I called to get insurance on my new rental and remove the previous renters insurance. How can you make this right?
