It is nice to have an actual person as an agent, and these days it seems hard. Colby at State Farm found me a better rate and coverage than the competitors plus I just like being able to call a local number directly to discuss insurance matters, and Colby is warm and friendly :-)

I haven't changed insurance carriers in many years. So when I purchased a new vehicle I updated my carrier (Geico) and verified my new rate, then decided to shop around and get quotes just to be informed and know whether I was at a fair rate. I had a few companies come in with significantly lower rates - but I still wasn't sure about switching. I wanted a large insurance company, and personalized service is important to me if I can find it. You don't really get that with Geico but it's pretty easy to get a live person there so even just through the quote process alone I knew there were several that I'd choose to skip even if the rates were better.
But then along came Colby with State Farm! He was responsive, but did not spam me with multiple texts/calls/emails (my #1 indicator of who I do NOT want to work with) and he was extremely professional and conscientious of my time. He was very thorough in answering my many questions and going over the details of my coverage options. He was super knowledgeable and put absolutely zero pressure on me. He promptly emailed everything over and I took a day to consider my options and research State Farm's overall reviews etc. When I got back to him saying I'd like to move forward, he was again very conscientious of my time and he again answered all of my questions thoroughly before finalizing things. He was fast and I felt that I was in great hands.
Colby was a big reason I decided to make the switch to State Farm for both my car and my homeowners policies. Him, and the fact that the rates were excellent compared to Geico. I have about a thousand discounts applied with Geico, including bundling home and auto with them (although they don't do home insurance so that part is subbed out to Liberty Mutual). For the same coverage on the auto (actually a bit better coverage and lower deductibles), State Farm quoted me much less than what I was paying - so I opted for an umbrella policy as well and I am still paying less than just the full coverage policy I had with Geico. Homeowner's insurance was a far better rate than my previous rate also, and with better coverage (although a higher deductible).
I hope I never have to file a claim on either my home or car, but if I do I will be sure to come back and write a review about that process. But as of now, I am a happy camper! Thank you Colby and team!!
