    Called to cancel my renters and auto insurance policy when I moved out of state. I inquired if I would owe a bill or not, and was informed that they were not seeing that I owed anything but if I did they would let me know. Never heard anything until I was contacted over the phone by a collection agency, even though my phone number and email address were on file as I was a customer for over 5 years. When I contacted Allstate they informed me that I owed them 39 dollars on my auto policy but they owed me 74 dollars on my renters insurance policy. Never the less they sent me to collections and effected my credit report. They claimed it was because they did not have my new out of state address, never attempting to contact me via phone or email to resolve the matter. If I would not have contacted them directly they would have kept my money!
