I had Geico for 25 years. I live in Williamsburg Brooklyn . My rates were incredibly high. Not only did State Farm give me a lower rate, they packaged my Car, Motorcycle and Renters, saving me $160 a month. When calling Joe Colarusso, ask for Pat Hyde. Extremely positive helpful dude. In the world of constantly paying out every month and never getting anything back at least I feel like there’s someone I can call that’s personable and seems like they care. I didn't deal with Joe, I spoke to his colleague Cyrus.
When I picked up the phone, I had spent much of the day on hold or conveying endless quantities of information to agents with other companies, had gotten what I thought was the best price, and I just wanted to say no and get on with my dinner.
Fifteen minutes later, I had saved almost $200 on a new policy that offered significantly better coverage than what I had before.
I didn't feel like I had been pressured into anything. I ended up thinking, gosh, what a nice guy! That's a rare combination - close the deal quickly and efficiently and leave the customer feeling great.
