I’ve been wanting to do this for a while and I’m so glad that I am Finally sitting down to do what I need to do. I had flood insurance and I was paying $1300 when my insurance policy was upto for renewal and had tobe paid. i called my agent - tom gilroy and advised him my insurance was expiring . my My loan company told me that they needed an invoice from Tommy Gilroys Allstate office. Tom told me he would look into it and send my loan company the invoice, which he did not. I was calling Tom gilroys office every week to follow up and also spoke to rich who replied he would give tom the message. Tom kept telling me, he was going to look into the matter and take care of the situation. . After calling him numerous times and weeks going by, my loan company finally decided to make a three way call with me on the phone, tom and themselves ( my loan company). Tom never answered the phone, my loan company did leave a message for tom gilroy. finally my insurance expired and when I finally got in touch with tom for the last time, he then told me that he did not have the authority to write up flood insurance, I was calling tom’s office every week and he kept telling me he was looking into the issue. He did not do that and he let my insurance expire. I. will never ever let this happen again. It was a big lesson to learn because I’ve called numerous numerous insurance companies and my bill has doubled because I was basically grandfathered in. This office has cost me a lot of money .If you do have him as an agent, be careful, and be your own advocate. I reassure you that you must follow up I hope that this does not happen to anyone else. As far as i know Tom nor Rich did the job they got paid todo.
