  I had homeowner’s and auto insurance policies with Hanover Insurance through Sullivan Financial Group in Mahopac, NY. Unfortunately, my experience with this agency was extremely troubling. My auto insurance policy was canceled without my authorization. What makes this especially concerning is that I contacted this agency specifically to prevent this from happening. I explained that my former fiancée (who was a friend of an agent there also a named insured) was attempting to cancel the policy without my consent. I was explicitly told by the agency that my policy was safe and would not be canceled, and I set up automatic payments during that call. They were fully aware that I intended to keep continuous coverage. Despite these assurances, the policy was still canceled. When I contacted the agency again for an explanation, I spoke with the office manager, Edie, who hung up on me while I was trying to resolve the issue. This situation exposed me to serious risk through no fault of my own. The lack of communication, failure to follow through on assurances, unprofessional, and unethical conduct left me with no confidence in this agency. I would strongly caution others to carefully monitor their policies and communications if working with Sullivan Financial Group. Stay far away from Sullivan Financial group in Mahopac NY. They keep deleting my review however they can’t delete their unethical means with how they do business.
