I've been a customer of this family-run agency for many years, as have other members of my own family. I have all of my policies with them, including home, auto, boat, and umbrella. I appreciate the combination of a responsive local agent who knows me and my needs, partnered with the backing and support of Allstate, its website, and app. I highly recommend Mitchell Hnatt and his capable staff.

After ten years of being an Allstate customer, I am finally leaving and moving over to Progressive, at the beginning when you’re a new customer you are listened and helped, after a while things change, policies are not updated, information being stolen from a previous employer who worked there. I think that’s where things went south, when I left a Feedback and I voiced my concerns, about an ex employee who was reaching out to customers and trying to sell you life insurance, who had my personal information! My mailing address, my payment info! I had previously told Mitchell about this, but I never got a follow up call in regard to this, which is why I left a feedback.
After leaving the feedback, Mitchell contacted me right away asking me to change my review, why would I change it? If my personal information was stolen? Finally we came to an agreement and I changed my review, after doing that he said he would go over my policy, well guess what? He found more savings for me. Hmm interesting.
As time went on, excuses kept changing, from we went over your policy and we can’t change the discounts or change it. Or we can’t make changes once a policy has been set and stone.
But how were you able to make changes to my policy that one time after I changed the feedback.
Another issue is, I recommend getting your quotes through emails, and here is why, about three months ago, i called to add a vehicle and I switched my two cars from full coverage to liability, the quote I received was around $700 for the six months. I was okay with it, but the car never got added or my policy changed until I called two days later to check up on it. By then the premium changed up to $903. I called and I went through the whole process again. And I asked for my policy to be reviewed. I even asked if there was a price increase, Mitchell said as of right now no.
Okay I went ahead and okayed the new changes. Then I received another email to leave a feedback, I left a feedback, now… someone tell me how on earth did my policy get amended?! After I was told by Mitchell that once the policy was set and stone it couldn’t be changed. Yes by now the premium went up again to $1046.68.
In less than three months the premium went from $700 to $1046.68
I called back and spoke to Mitchell, I was told, oh some changes made here and there but we found a discount that was missing. The discount got adjusted on his end…. I grew tired of his excuses. The lack of communication, leaving you on read.
The oh we need a photo of your mileage on your car, okay sent, oh now we need proof of a document that states the mileage. How about I bring the car to you? And you can see the mileage?
Best advice I can give to those who are shopping for a new car insurance, is get everything on paper or email, if they call you ask for a copy of the documents to be emailed to you. Or go to another Allstate agency, I spoke to another agency that was local and they told me, they were not sure why my policy kept changing it’s something that was not normal.
Progressive quoted me $654 for two cars (liability)
