  Was in an accident a year ago I have tried several times to get paperwork I need for court I cannot get ahold of anybody or get a call back regarding status of my claim or why they haven’t paid it out yet the insurance adjuster assigned to my case no longer works for the department all other numbers for supervisors I’ve been given just go to voicemail and I cannot get a call back I’m at a complete loss right now as to what to do!

  STAY AWAY! FRAUDULENT CONTRACT ALTERATION AND PREDATORY PRICING! I am filing a formal complaint against Direct Auto Insurance for Bad Faith and Consumer Fraud. I signed a binding legal agreement on February 3rd, 2026, for a monthly premium of $88.00. Without my knowledge, consent, or signature, this company unilaterally issued an endorsement (END_2033469414-00_1) that fundamentally altered my contract. Summary of their illegal and deceptive practices: • Unauthorized Contract Change: They issued an endorsement on February 17th, 2026, changing my original policy terms without a new signed agreement. • Fraudulent Risk Reclassification: They moved a household resident to "Principal Driver" without my authorization. • Manipulated Data: They rated the new policy based on 0 years of driving experience for the resident to artificially inflate the risk profile. • Predatory Price Gouging: They hiked my total annual premium from $640.04 to a staggering $4,552.21. • Unauthorized Withdrawal: They used my stored banking information to withdraw $253.00 from my account—nearly 3 times my agreed-upon monthly payment. • Breach of Agreement: My monthly installment was jumped from $88.00 to $426.79 without my permission. This is a clear violation of North Carolina consumer protection laws. I am escalating this matter to the North Carolina Department of Insurance (NCDOI) for a formal investigation into insurance fraud. DO NOT trust this company with your financial information! 1 star is too many for Direct Auto Insurance
