- ICIrene CMay 23, 20241.0My husband and I moved to the U.S. on April 30, 2024, and on May 1, 2024, we contacted Marylina Rogers via email, introduced by a friend, to help us apply for health insurance. From May 1 to May 3, we exchanged several emails. During this period, Marylina seemed very enthusiastic and was willing to answer our questions. However, after May 3, she suddenly stopped responding. I waited until May 7 and sent another email asking about the progress. She replied on May 8, stating that she would contact me again on May 22 to go through the plans and assured me not to worry. As May 21 approached, I had received no further communication from her. Not knowing the time or method she planned to use to go through the plans, I emailed her again on the morning of May 21 to ask about the schedule for May 22. There was still no response. On May 22, after waiting all day, I sent another email around 4 PM asking how we should discuss the health insurance. About 30 minutes later, she replied, "What time tomorrow is good for you to speak on the phone?" This was frustrating because she originally said she would get back to me on May 22 to go through the plans. In that same email, she also asked, "Do you speak English?" which made me very uncomfortable. All our prior communication had been in English, so I didn't understand what she meant or implied by this question, but it made me feel quite uneasy. Nevertheless, I replied that I would be available for a call the next day (today) around 2 PM and asked if she could provide some information beforehand so I could have a preliminary understanding of the insurance plans. Once again, she disappeared and didn't respond. Now, it's way past 2 PM, and I haven't received any call or email. I am extremely frustrated and helpless with this whole process. I am currently pregnant and informed Marylina of this situation, emphasizing the necessity and urgency of the insurance for us. It's now almost the end of the month, and if this drags into June, we might have to wait until July to start using the insurance. I am very worried about my baby's health, but it is evident that this insurance agent lacks empathy.

Which plan is best for me?
