- MMMark MMay 9, 20253.0I used them for about 10 years for auto and home. I live half an hour away so I never saw them and never heard from them. I only filed one claim in 10 years and that was for auto glass. Our auto policy was going to double in price at the renewal this year. I recently called to cancel auto and home policy after finding better rates. Our agent at Preston actually told me I could not cancel the home policy early before the renewal period. WTH? I was so surprised that I didn’t question it but instead I called the Allstate corporate number. When I called the main Allstate phone number I got a very noisy and obvious call center late in the afternoon. Another time in the app I had a chat session with someone with an Indian name who wanted me to text (in the app) my SSN and other info. I ended the chat. I don’t know how secure the app is. Twice I did get a very helpful rep “Diane”, the same person actually who helped me cancel my policies.
