- MMMARCUSMar 31, 20261.0Inconsistent quotes and unprofessional "bait and switch" tactics. I had a beyond frustrating experience with Daryl Theodore at Allstate. I approached him with a very specific need: a $300k General Liability policy for my lockout service business. What followed was a total lack of transparency and competence. Inconsistent Quotes: I asked for $300k from the start. Instead, he sent me a policy for $600k. When I asked again to have it corrected to the $300k I originally requested, he suddenly started asking a barrage of new questions about square footage and business details that he hadn't mentioned once during the previous two days of back-and-forth. Price Gouging: After finally "adjusting" the quote to the lower coverage amount ($300k), the premium he sent back was double to triple the price of the original quote that had more coverage. It makes zero sense for a $300k policy to cost significantly more than a $600k quote from the same agent. Poor Communication: When I called out the lack of clarity and the hassle of getting a straight answer, he didn't explain the price jump. He simply gave up and sent a dismissive "good luck finding coverage" email. If you are a business owner, stay away. This agent doesn't listen to requirements, provides wildly inconsistent pricing, and lacks the professional courtesy to explain why his numbers don't add up.
