  Allstate has been a nightmare to deal with. I’ve been with Allstate for 9 yrs. When my water heater broke and flooded my basement (end of May 2025), the restoration company brought fans and dehumidifiers, but they kept failing and as the days passed, mold grew. I immediately filed a claim with Allstate. The first rep told me they would coordinate directly with the restoration company, but I never received updates from my adjuster. Meanwhile, the restoration company started boxing up my belongings, ripping out walls and carpet. When I finally reached my adjuster to confirm if this was okay, she told me it had been approved and she was no longer handling my account. A new adjuster would be in touch. By the time he came out, the basement was already gutted—walls and carpet gone. His delays left me paying out of pocket for carpets and walls, and I still haven’t been reimbursed. To top it off, they raised my rates. Zero communication, zero accountability. I’m switching providers as soon as I find one. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. UPDATE 10/28/25: Since my review, I have not received any updates or payment.

  Went through a divorce. He assigned the other party’s vehicle which is not legally in my name to me and sent the debt to collections. I now have to chase the other party for a debt that isn’t mine on a car I don’t own.
